Submission Instructions

How to Submit Files to Moodle

  1. Start a web browser such as Firefox on the machine where your files reside. In your browser, enter moodle.bucknell.edu and login to Moodle with your user name and password.
  2. Select Intro to Computer Science I (CSCI203-ALL-FA2018).
  3. Select the homework assignment problem, e.g., hw0pr1.py, and click on “Add submission” button.
  4. Browse on your computer for the file you want to upload (submit) then drag and drop the file inside Moodle’s dashed box with the big blue arrow.
  5. After you have dragged and dropped your file, click the “Save changes” button to submit the file for grading.” Note: if you don’t click “Save changes,” we never see it!
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each file you want to upload.
  7. Before the deadline time, you may delete a file and upload a revised version as many times as you wish. If you want to delete a file that has already been uploaded, click on the “Edit submission” button. Then click on the file’s name then click “Delete” button. Click “OK” to the question. Now either submit a new version or press “Save changes”.
  8. If you worked with a partner, BOTH STUDENTS should submit the file individually. Each students should send a Moodle “Submission comments” message with the full name of your partner. To create a “Submission comments” message, click on the homework assignment problem, e.g., hw1pr2.py, then click on “Comments” to the right of “Submission comments” text. This will open a small window where you type in your comment. Then press “Save comment”.
  9. Remember to log out of Moodle.
