John: I live for the teasing. Besides I missed the start of the frog talk and just wasn't getting it so I had to break up the flow.
Round 22 - Ladd takes Gonzalez, SD - C
Mike: I believe it is now Ladd's pick and I get to save my secret best pick for last! (Oh, how I wish it were true.)
Mike: Screwed by the delay - we have moved past Ladd
Tom: (From Polly) John, the frog is a puppet, so the frog is telling me what to say. Only I can hear the frog. The frog knows about baseball because my grandpa likes baseball, and the frog has been staying with Grandpa for a long time. And he's mine! So, there! Ha, ha!
Ben: So, Ladd, who do you want for your outside infielder?

Ladd: Ben, I was going to pick my OIF but there were three I was trying to pick between. I figured I'd let you have first pick and then I wouldn't have to worry about it!
Round 22 - Ben takes Reggie Sanders, Ari - OF
John: Tom - grab your kid, run from the house, and don't look back!
Ben: Ladd, I had a similar view. So I took Reggie Sanders instead. I've got a bad feeling about this one...
Tom: (By the way, three guesses as to how I've managed to spend so much time on the computer today at my in-laws' house.)
Mike: well ben - now you are going to make me look again for a remaining outfielder!! What you picking him for, he is injured!
Round 22 - John takes John Vander Wal, Pit - OF

James: that should have been pitcher. Sorry.
Ben: Mike, Sanders isn't injured. I just watched him strike out in his first two at bats against Ankiel.
John: They didn't really want to see you to begin with?
Mike: BEN: well, he was injured until today - hamstring thing. I had one of those. Can last for years - really painful He'll probably keep striking out.
James: I really wanted Strickland, btw.
Ben: Is that why you never made it to the majors? Or was it your throws in the dirt.

Mike: Ben: it was the throws in the dirt - the leg thing was much later! (Actually, with my arm I probably could have done a stint as the NY Yankee second baseman, but I was really bad in teh outfield, so there was no place to move me!)
Mike: TOM: I believe Gonzalez is taken by Ladd?
Ben: I was wondering if Harnish would go undrafted. There's one other big namer out there...
John: James - Thanks. I was hoping someone else thought he was worth taking.
Mike: OPPS - my BAD, it is late, (well early for me) wrong Gonzalez?
Round 23 - Ladd takes Lee, Fla - 1B/3B
James: Right you are Ben, I wouldn't touch either of them with a 42 oz bat.
Ben: Lee was one of my 3 choices. Let's see if my pick was one of yours...
Tom: So, are we okay on this Gonzalez thing? (There are a _lot_ of Gonzalez' floating around, but I think the 2B/SS one is still available.
Ben: Yes, your Gonzalez isn't Ladd's. (Things which sound dirty but aren't)
Ben: Since Onder is picking an OF, I'll go ahead with my pick....

Onder: oops...
Ben: Onder: it looks like you already have 9 pitchers...is there a mistake?
Ladd: Ben, Zeile was one of the three. Brogna was the other.

James: John and I need pitchers, so we can pick while Onder ponders (sorry).

Tom: By the way, John, Polly says that the frog is a good frog. (I had to explain your joke to her, since I was laughing so hard. She didn't find it funny.)
Ladd: Great job Ben. One comment - I can't believe no one took Gwynn.

Onder: I decided to go with Martinez rather than Gwynn, we'll see what happens.
