Our winter break 2006 pictures. We started in California for
Christmas.
We ended up in Santa Barbara after visiting family in L.A. Here are
some friends who have moved on from UNC, Melvin and Nate.
Nate is a post-doc at UCSB, a very beautiful place. On the right
are Melvin and Mia at an area Nate takes his smoke breaks at.
Also, I'll just mention I neglected to take pictures of the family in
L.A. and that sucks. I met Uncle Bill his family, and some
great kids
I should have picutres of.
In Hanford, at Mama's remodelled house. It was quite
beautiful. Here are Mia and Que, with a gift from
Mia, purchased at a duty-free store in Brussels.

them was a brand new Dell computer.
We then headed to Wichita for New Year's.
Our first full day in Wichita, we slept til about 1. (We got
stuck in Dever, but let's forget about
that...United Airlines sucks! American has a hub in Dallas. When
was the last time Dallas was
closed?) So we ended up eating brunch at about 3.

from KU, mom, Veronique, dad, me, and Mia.
Guitar hero became Mia's dream gift. I suck at it, but Mark
couldn't beat Mia after the first
time she'd seen the song. Wow did I suck, and wow was Mia good.
Some people are just naturals.
We also saw Zack and Micala while in Wichita, and were introduced to
the next game
we have to get, Set. It's a cool card game that will make you
feel deficient.
Mia and I went to the zoo (now it's $2 Wednesdays in the winter) with
Veronique and Steven.

camera Mama Rhonda
gave me, but the domino game image is a png instead of a jpeg.
I'm
going to start using png exclusively.
With Fletcher and Mark at a Chili's. I had the Meat Me
calzone. Man, start out hungry.
Here are some pictures taken at my parents' bar, the Shamrock Lounge of
Wichita
(a great bar, at 1724 W. Douglass, check it out). We had a lot of fun
there. There even was
fight that broke out over the shuffleboard, and that was fun.

We ate out a bunch while on our vacation. It's going to be tough
going back to making our own.
On the left, my dad took us to the Hong Kong buffet. Me, Mia,
Steven, Veronique, dad, mom,
Fletcher and Mark. On the right, nearing the end of our vacation
(a little depressing), we went to
a Vietnamese restaurant with Gabe and his parents, Larry and Lana.
We might be back in Wichita in May. My sister is graduating from
KU, and we would probably
drop by again. We have such fun on vacations.
