Questions/Comments on Drills and Reading Quizzes

Thu, Apr 17, 10:22 p.m. - can you post the reading quiz please? thanks!!

Yes, it's posted now.

Tue, Apr 1, 7:00 p.m. - can we have drill #8 please?

It's posted now. Ideally, it would be best to take the drills some time after Thursday's lecture because they often contain material from the second half of the week.

Mon, Mar 24, 9:53 p.m. - Hey, I am wondering what happened if we do the reading quiz twice, will the score be re-write/overlap or keep the first one?

The first score is the one that is kept. You're welcome to redo the quizzes as many times as you want, and after the deadline they function like drills, where they send you back whenever you get the wrong answer.

Mon, Feb 24, 4:09 p.m. - Would you ever consider dropping our lowest reading quiz scores? Some have been challenging this semester. Thank you.

This semester we will not be dropping a reading quiz score. The way the schedule works out, there are 10 reading quizzes and we have 40 points assigned to reading quizzes.

We do pay attention to the difficulty of the reading quizzes. We want them to be challenging enough that you need to do the reading, but we don't want them to be too difficult. As a result, nearly all students end up with a higher percentage score on the reading quizzes than on the exams.
