  1. Our mid-term exam will be on Tuesday, March 27.

  2. Reading: Continue studying Chapter 4 in Lathi, and begin reading Chapter 5 on angle modulation.

    I have installed an interactive tutorial on frequency modulation (FM) on the instructor's PC in Dana 120B. You can find it at the following path from the Start menu:

    Programs -> Programs A-M -> Fundamentals -> FM Fundamentals -> FM Fundamentals

    This may help you visualize FM concepts.

  3. Problems: Please solve the following problems in the Lathi text and submit your solutions on March 22.
    4.8-1 and 4.8-2.

  4. After spring break we will finish analog modulation with Project 2, in which you will use Matlab to recover message signals from a frequency division multiplexed mystery signal with unknown modulation format.
