Description

Tell Joshua Stough a bit about yourself, including the following:

• Name
• UNC email address
• Major
• Hometown
• Hobbies
• Computer courses taken (including high school)
• If you've had previous programming experience and what language
• Why you're taking COMP 14
• What you've heard about COMP 14
• What you hope to learn in COMP 14
• At least 2 questions or comments about the course web pages

• Make sure you have a UNC email account (ONYEN) and can login to the course Blackboard page. An ONYEN is required to log in to the computers in the campus labs, to access the course web page, and to turn in assignments.
• In your AFS space (drive H: on the UNC lab computers), create a new folder named comp14.
• It would be a good idea to put all of your COMP 14 assignments inside this folder since your AFS space is automatically backed up by UNC.
• You may also want to put a copy of this comp14 folder on your laptop or home computer.
• Open Notepad (under Start -> All Programs -> Accessories).
• Insert the standard homework header with pledge and fill in the appropriate places.
• Type in the requested information (see above) below the homework header.
• Save this document in your newly-created comp14 folder with the name "hw0_onyen.txt", where you replace onyen with your ONYEN. For example, Dr. Weigle's assignment would be titled "hw0_mcweigle.txt".
• Turn in hw0_onyen.txt by following the instructions for submitting assignments on Blackboard.
