Complete the following exercises from the textbook (5 points each):

• Ch 1 (pg. 28): 9, 10, 11
• Ch 2 (pg. 105): 2, 4


Note: You may need to review both lecture notes and the assigned reading (Ch 1 and Ch 2 (pgs 31-105)) to complete this assignment.

Follow the directions for completing homework assignments. Name your file hw1_onyen.txt, where you replace onyen with your Onyen.

What NOT to Do (i.e, What you may lose points for doing, besides answering questions incorrectly)

• Use the wrong filename
• Submit a non-text document, such as a Microsoft Word formatted document or a Wordpad formatted document.

Hint: To double-check that your document is a text document, open it using Notepad. If it looks garbled or there are extra characters in the file, it is not formatted correctly. If you're having trouble creating a text document, ask me or a lab assistant for help.
