BUCKHANNON -- Edna Marie Cutright, 96, of 140 Camden Ave., died at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 1999, at Nelsons Board and Care Home.
She was born Oct. 3, 1902, in Hackers Creek, a daughter of the late John H. McKinney and Mary Catherine Queen McKinney.
Her husband, Harold Cutright, whom she married Sept. 5, 1931, preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1978.
Surviving are one daughter, Ernestine Horstman, and one granddaughter, Robyn Horstman, both of Buckhannon; one grandson, Bryan Horstman, Boston, Mass.; two great-granddaughters, Christina Horstman, Coalton, and Tiffany Ketterman, Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Justin Ketterman, Buckhannon; 11 nephews and 12 nieces. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Cutright, four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Cutright was a homemaker. She attended the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of the Pringle Tree Homemakers Club.

James Angelos Pappas, son of Phil and Connie Pappas, born September 7, 1961, in Buckhannon, WV, ended his brief but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 7, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital with his family and friends by his bedside. Survivors include one son, Gabriel Angelos Pappas of Athens, TN; three daughters, Beverly Sue Pappas and Priscilla Callista Lloyd-Pappas of Chattanooga, TN, and Amber Lovine Pappas of Proctorville, OH. Also surviving are his parents, Philip and Connie Reger Pappas of Huntington, WV; two sisters, Missi Caul of San Diego, CA and Mindy Noll and her husband David of Columbus, OH; his grandmothers, Gordie Lovine Pappas of Buckhannon, WV, and Sylvia Ann Reger of Massillon, OH; and a special friend, Victoria Cabrera. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy after graduating from Huntington High School in 1979. He went on to St. Mary's School of Nursing, graduating in 1988. In 1990, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Marshall University. He then attended the Charleston Area School of Anesthesia for Nurses, graduating in August of 1992. He recently became a partner in the anesthesia group, Wabash Valley Anesthesia, P.C., in Terre Haute, IN., where he had relocated to, two years ago. Prior to that, he had practiced anesthesia in Huntington for the Huntington Anesthesia Group, alongside his father and Uncle Danny. The viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2001, at Beard Morturary. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2001, at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joe Kenaston and the Rev. Carol McKay officiating. Burial services will be immediately following at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joseph Zara, Zachary Pappas, Matt and Scott Miller, David Owens, Joe Wallis, Steve Tardy and Rob Stepp.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a Memorial Scholarship at Marshall University for nursing students, married with children. Memorial contributions may be made to Marshall University Foundation, Inc., attention James Angelos Pappas Nursing Scholarship, Huntington, WV 25755.

MONACA, Pa. Carl L. Reger, 71, of Monaca, Center Township, died Monday, June 7, 1999, at his residence. He was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Galloway, a son of the late Roy A. and Reta Ross Knabenshue Reger.
His wife of 45 years, Delphia M. Steerman Reger, whom he married June 27, 1953, survives.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Mary Jo Reger and Randy and Francine Reger, all of Center Township; one brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Jane Reger, Florida; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Evelyn Kreiser, New Jersey, and Lillian and Lloyd Grimes, Hopewell Township; and three grandchildren, Larry Carl Reger Jr., Gabriel Luke Reger and Natalee Rae Reger.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Keith R. and June Reger.
Mr. Reger was a retired brakeman with the A&S Railroad and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Aliquippa Baptist Temple.
