Buckhannon Area
On Route 33, Nancy points out to us where Finks Run is. Some
researchers say that Jackson's Fort (a block house) was at Finks Run.
Nancy and others are not sure.
At Red Rock near Buckhannon is the gravesite of Phillip Reger, husband
of Sarah Jackson, daughter of John and Elizabeth Cummins Jackson.
We drive through Buckhannon and stop to eat at a Wendys. After lunch
we drive to the home of Warren Jackson who escorts us to the historic
Henry Jackson Cemetery. The view from the hill top near the cemetery
is breath taking.

Warren Jackson, age 85, brought with him articles that his grandfather
Marion Jackson used during the Civil War. Warren had his
grandfather's watch, award medal and sword. The watch still runs!
