Jackson Brigade, Inc.
The following message was received from Susan Church, our living history person for the Jackson Brigade Reunion, Jackson's Mill, August 12, 2006.

From Susan Church:

Yes, I will do something either in period attire or bring it.....will bring some books also.

As you may or may not know we are sponsoring the first Jackson Symposium on his early years at Jackson's Mill the first weekend in November. See our website www.stonewallcountry.com for more on the symposium.

And we would be honored if you Nancy would during the day on Saturday present the Jackson genealogy and little bit about his family to the group. We would love of course for you to attend the entire Symposium. No one to my knowledge has done anything on his early years.

We have for our Saturday night speaker Richard G. Williams, Jr. a nationally known writer and authority on the Civil War, he has written The Maxims of Robert E. Lee for Young Gentlemen and in September his new book Stonewall Jackson - The Black Man's Friend will be in bookstores. I am really excited about him being our speaker. He is also a 9th generation Virginian and a great lover of Stonewall Jackson.
