SEEKING INFORMATION ON ISAAC BRAKE CHILD OF ABRAHAM AND MARY DAVIS BRAKE
Abraham and Mary had one child, Isaac D/B Brake, who was bound out to Joseph Davis 1808 (Harrison County Minute Book) . He is said to have married in 1832 in Morrow Co., Ohio an Irish girl named Pam ( LDS new IGI 1992). Only one census record has been located for Isaac B. Brake and family: 1850 Morrow Co. Ohio which is north of Bloomfield: Isaac b. ca 1807 property value $1900; Pam wf, b. ca 1812 PA; Marion b. ca 1834; Martha b. ca 1839; Hanna b. ca 1848; John b 1846; Thomas b. ca 1842; Jain b. ca 1838; James b. ca 1844. Legend is that Isaac traveled in later years selling dyspopia medicine and buying furs. A request for information from Morrow Co. provided no additional information on this family. It is assumed the family left the area before the marriage of the children.
In some undocumented notes I [Nancy A. Jackson] have (source unknown), I have William Jackson Davis, b. Dec. 31, 1791; d. Oct 1850; m. Arp. 11, 1815 Lydia Gould, b. Feb. 2, 1794, d. Jan 4, 1859, daughter of Asron and Lydia (Gray) Gould. 3 children, Jackson Gould Davis, Isabell and Sophia Davis. I have not been able to find a marriage record. I checked Harrison Co., (W)V. His parents had the property at the mouth of Turkey Run which is where the Pringle Tree is located-where John and Elizabeth (Cummins) Jackson first settled.
The will of Joseph Davis, (father of William Jackson Davis ) was written September 1832 and probated Nov. 1832 in Lewis Co., (W)V. He willed William J. Davis, one shilling which is the amt. given to the other children.
Will of Joseph Davis, husband of Sophia (Jackson) Davis (6 September 1832)

* Old Bible - Davis Family, Typed copy of Bible Record with this notation: This data was copied from the old Davis family Bible by Elmore Jackson Rohrbough(grandson) into one he owned. The older book was destroyed in a fire later that burned old home place. Now in possession of Mrs. A. S. Pinto, Omaha, Nebraska, who notes that the Jackson Gould family lived in Illinois, and her mother knew them well. Jackson Gould was listed in this typed copy as being a child of Joseph and Sophia. He was born 30 Jan. 1816, d. 24 Oct. 1892, m. Mary Chipman. He was NOT listed as a heir of Joseph in his will of 1832. He may be the son of William J. and Lida Gould Jackson.
