Pictures From Dorene Hess

The first three are tin types and were probably taken together. Given the look of the age of Theodore to be 3 or 4, Dorene would date them to 1880/81.

Pearl Ours Smiley, Waitman's daughter identified the above photos for me in 1970. The Brakes were her grandparents on her father's side.

Dorene Hess

Concerning the next four photos, Dorene Hess writes:

Back of first picture says David and Emma Brake Ours with Theodore Ours (However, when I look at the other pictures of David Ours, that man does not look like David Ours. The woman has the weight of Emma Brake, but her face doesn't look like the known Emma pictures so I am not positive of these people) Looking at the body of the woman she could be a sister to Emma. They are related but not sure exactly who or how. This picture was taken by N A Williams & sons Photographers from Greensburg, PA So if Emma had a sister who marred and lived in or around Greensburh, PA this is probably that family.

Second picture says on back Dora and Jake Radabough, Floy sister in law. Floy had two sons Brace. I have one picture of Dora and Emma as older women and this could be Dora as she has the same shape face and thin body This picture taken by Foreman Buckhannon WV No date.

Last is a postcard picture of Waitman Warren Ours, son of Emma Brake (cousin to the Radabaugh's via Dora Brake. No date on this picture, but he died 9
