England Trip
Day 7 Monday June 24, 2002
By Dan, Mary Jane and Scotty Hyde

Today we drive to Stonehenge! From the road as we approach, we catch
our first glimpse of the famed stone circle. Stonehenge is wonderful
and mysterious. We all wonder what it meant to those who built it.
We could spend hours, and do, looking at and photographing the stone
circle. Stonehenge is by far "the best thing today." Jan takes
pictures of Scotty, Dan, and Mary Jane, with Dan's digital camera and
Mary Jane's traditional camera.
After shopping in the gift shop, we have lunch--scones and coffee for Jan
and me and megamuffins and
juice for Dan and Scotty from the "snack bar" outside the entrance to
Stonehenge, eaten
on picnic tables nearby. (Actually, a bit chilly for outdoor eating.)
