A few words about Engineers Week…
“EWeek is amazing.” - Damon Vinciguerra
“Imagine Christmas. You wake up, run downstairs, and see that shiny red bicycle that you asked for sitting next to the tree. Now multiply that by a million. You still aren’t even a little bit close.” - Brenton Kulik
What is it? Engineers week, EWeek for short, is a week long celebration of engineers, as well as a week long competition between the engineering disciplines at Bucknell.
When is it? February 14-20, 2010
What is the competition? Let’s face it, the best part about EWeek is the competition between the engineering majors. If you had a Homecoming competition back in high school, you have a general idea what this is about. There are a bunch of events, some listed below, that each major sends representatives to. The majors compete for points, and at the end of the week (the EWeek dinner), the major with the most points wins!
Some Events: Text Book Toss Cookie Eating Contest Scavenger Hunt Trash Art Poetry Competition Art Competition Attendance at the Career Event EWeek Movie (!) Penny Drive Math Race
The movie is often the most anticipated product of EWeek. Below are links to the movies from 2007 and 2008. We strongly encourage as many people to get involved in the movie process as possible!
